Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast in Cheshire from £40 including breakfast

Our Farmhouse is surronded by a genuie working farm in Cheshire. Through the bay window in the dining room, the beautifully maintained garden provides seasonal changes for guests to enjoy. You can have tea on the lawn in summer, while in the winter - you can sit in our elegantly furnished lounge by a log fire to relax and unwind. Most of all, we have two parts of accommodation in the farm house, six different rooms catering for your needs - either for a family  occassion, or a business trip, or simply a weekend away from home, you are bound to find a room suits you!

Main Farmhouse Accommodation

From the entrance there is a large hallway with a Minton tiled floor leading to the dining room and guests' lounge which are used by all of our guests.  The stairs lead to the two bedrooms of the main house accommodation for our guests: The Greg room and the The Pikenhall Room.

The Fruit Store Accommodation

Ash House Farm was previously owned by Alexander Carlton Greg whose family originally owned Quarry Bank Mill at Styal. The farm was very well known for growing fruit in this area and Fruit Store is the original building where the fruit was packed for market, all the rooms are all named after fruits

The Dining room and Guests' lounge

Step into the elegantly furnished dining room with wooden floor and traditional rugs. Antique mahogany period furniture is the setting with Liberty drapes adorning the windows. There is also fridge & microwave for guests' use.  Enjoy a home cooked breakfast with relaxing breathtaking views of the large garden - where there is plenty of wildlife to see be it pheasants, doves, blackbirds and thrushes or squirrels and rabbits.


In Summer the roses are in full bloom, in late summer the Apple orchard is just a vibrant red glow of the delicious Katy and Discovery apples. Sit on the window seat where you see an abundance of birds and wildlife hopping around.  A door leads out on to the patio where Guests may wish to go out and relax on the garden furniture or stroll round the mature well stocked garden. Guests can also come to this cosy lounge to relax and unwind in front of the woodburning stove.  This is a lounge full of Georgian architectural features, with solid wooden floor and traditional rugs in front of the inviting fireplace, tastefully furnished with Liberty ‘Melbury' fabric, a lovely sunny aspect with breathtaking views of our large garden and the birds visiting for their breakfast. Sit on the comfortable settee and chairs, have a quiet read, or just chill out and enjoy the picturesque countryside.  There is a quantity of books and  photo albums on the history of the Greg family to peruse through at your leisure.


Apple juice made fromthe rosy red apples from our own orchard. What could be more appetising than eggs fresh from the nest from our own free range hens.  Locally sourcedfresh baked bread for your Toast. Vegetarian breakfasts with locally grown potatoes andany other dietary requirements are available on request.  Please ask attime of booking.  Ifthere is anything you would like, for breakfast other than what is on offer onthe Menu below do please ask and Sue will be only to happy to oblige.
